Nutrition and Health Education Services for Immigrants/Refugees

The goals of nutrition and health education services are to:
- increase awareness among immigrants and refugees about certain health conditions; and
- teach newcomers how to prevent and/or care for chronic diseases by engaging in healthy lifestyles.
The health education program is offered in a group format in Tamil, Bengali and Somali. A community health worker and a dietitian work together to facilitate the program.
