Mental Health

RPCHC provides comprehensive services to clients with complex mental health issues. This includes:

  • direct client services (assessment, treatment plan, etc.) by providers such as nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, social workers and other specialists; and
  • indirect client service (in consultation with a mental health specialist) by psychiatrists and clinicians.

This program is a collaborative partnership with the Toronto Urban Health Alliance (TUHA) and allows us to address mental health issues in a very broad and multidisciplinary manner. The TUHA partnership began in 1998 and includes the University Health Network and six community health centres in Toronto that have access to psychiatrists and mental health clinicians. As part of TUHA, RPCHC is able to deliver and improve access to mental health services through a shared care model and strengthen the Health Centre’s capacity to meet the mental health needs of the clients who live in the catchment area.

RPCHC has other mental health consultants that are available to provide services and consultations on an ongoing basis for clients of the health centre.
